Continuing to ‘walk alongside’ the Diocese of North Argentina

Over the period of Lent, Connor parishes, in conjunction with SAMS Ireland, supported the Diocese of North Argentina prayerfully and practically, raising funds and ‘walking alongside’ the remote communities of the Chaco region and St Paul’s Church in the City of Salta.

The Rev Geoff Hamilton, Director of SAMS Ireland, said: “Thank you, Connor Diocese, for walking alongside the Anglican Church in northern Argentina in such a faithful and practical way.”

During Lent, Geoff accepted invitations from different parishes, speaking about North Argentina Diocese and the various projects this Connor initiative would support.

The Ven Paul Dundas, chair of Connor Council for Mission said: “As a Council for Mission, we are grateful to all the parishes who have run with this Lent Project.”

Paul said the various projects would be ongoing as part of the DNA of the mission and ministry of the Church of North Argentina and so any monies raised during after Lent will be very helpful. “I know that parishes are also thinking of running the project in Harvest time and also maybe in Advent,” he added.

SAMS has produced new resources to help parishes support the Diocese of North Argentina and these can be downloaded below:

SAMS is partnering with ministry training co-ordinator the Rev Marcos Humacata – here you can read about Marcos and the work he is doing delivering the Vida Abundante (Abundant Life) Bible course to the Wichí community.

SAMS Cinco is a five-session small group resource.
