Stunning – more than 13,000 handmade poppies cascade down the tower of St John’s, Ballyclare.

A stunning waterfall of hand-knit poppies cascading down the tower of St John’s Parish Church, Ballyclare, as part of an exhibition of Remembrance has captured the imagination of the public – and the media.

St John’s is hosting the four-day exhibition from November 5-8 in partnership with the Ballyclare Branch of the Royal British Legion. ‘Ballyclare Remembers’ will feature not only a display of memorabilia including objects, artefacts and personal items, but a series of talks and interactive exhibitions as well as a schools’ programme on the first two days. More details.

The exhibition and eye-catching poppy cascade feature in today’s Belfast Telegraph – read the article HERE, and the initiative is also to feature on BBC Radio Ulster.

We hope to bring you more on this stunning exhibition once it opens. Entry to the exhibition is free, and all donations go to support the Royal British Legion and Voice of the Persecuted Church.
